HILLSBORO
Domestic battery, criminal damage
What began as a child custody complaint at the police department ended up in the arrest of 24-year-old Jackie Jimenez-Lopez on suspicion of domestic battery and criminal damage to property at 8:57 p.m. Nov. 26 at a home at an undisclosed location.
According to officer John Hubert’s report, Jimenez-Lopez pushed, pulled and kicked his spouse, resulting in apparent minor injuries, and destroyed her cell phone, valued at $500.
Information about the victim was redacted from an open, public record of the incident.
Jimenez-Lopez was booked into Marion County jail and released 24 hours later without bond.
Theft
A package containing a pair of Ariat cowboy boots valued at $150 was reported stolen between 11:45 and 11:55 a.m. Friday from the front porch of Amy L. Dirks, 59, at her residence in the 200 block of W. 3rd St.
The theft reportedly was witnessed by another person.
