Joseph A. Zinn, Lost Springs, reported May 26 that a plasma cutter and accessories, together valued at $3,575, were stolen between 10:21 and 11:41 a.m. May 18 from a storage shed in the 100 block of Berry St. in Lost Springs.

Deputy Clayton Philpott’s report, released Friday, does not indicate whether there were signs of forced entry or why the theft was not reported until eight days later.

HILLSBORO

Criminal threat, assault

A juvenile who allegedly made a criminal threat and assaulted a stepparent at 9:15 p.m. May 28 at a residence in the 200 block of W. Grand Ave. was taken to a juvenile detention facility in Junction City.

Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia

A storage case and a trace amount of marijuana were seized after a driver was stopped at 3:55 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of N. Ash St. for having no stop or signal lights.

Officer John Huebert arranged for Marion drug dog Blue to sniff the vehicle. The items were seized after Blue reportedly indicated drugs might be present.

Kevin W. Geren, 63, Marion, was arrested on suspicion of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was released from county jail 4½ hours later after posting a $2,000 bond.

MARION

Possession of methamphetamine, interference with law enforcement, other charges

An arrest on drug and other charges followed a pursuit that began at 11:58 p.m. Sunday of a vehicle police tried to stop near Main and 3rd Sts. for running a stop sign.

The chase ended about half a mile away in the 200 block of W. Santa Fe St. when Bryan T. Grosse, 44, Marion, was arrested on suspicion of interfering with and fleeing from law enforcement, possessing stimulants and drug paraphernalia, transporting an open container of alcohol, and driving while his license was canceled, suspended, or revoked.

He remained in jail Tuesday. Bond was not set. An offense report in the case had not yet been completed.
