These offense reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:
HILLSBORO
Identity theft
A 43-year-old resident of the 300 block of N. Cedar St. reported receiving a letter indicating he had defaulted on $10,382 in student loans he had not taken out.
He discovered the letter among mail that had accumulated while he was out of town, as he frequently is, for work.
He had taken out a student loan in 2007 but paid it back in 2012.
MARION
Possession of stimulants, marijuana
An unspecified amount of liquid methamphetamine, a syringe, and a vape cartridge containing THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, were seized in an arrest at 8:52 p.m. March 17 at Casey’s General Store.
Ryan E. Williams, 42, Marion, was booked into county jail on suspicion of possessing stimulants, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $10,000.
Williams previously was jailed June 13 to 16 on suspicion of violating the state offender registration act.
Assault
A 43-year-old woman was threatened by her spouse during a domestic disturbance at 9:50 a.m. Thursday in the 900 block of Hudson St., according to an offense report filed with the county attorney.
A 15-year-old reportedly witnessed the incident.
No corresponding arrest appears on the county jail roster.
Trespassing, theft
Four tires valued at $200 were reported stolen at 4:40 p.m. Saturday by someone who allegedly trespassed at 56 Express Tire and Service, 1001 Batt St.
