SHERIFF

Theft

Clint A. Weber, Marion, reported that two Michelin semi tires, together valued at $1,000, were stolen between 11 and 11:30 p.m. May 21 from a vacant lot in the 100 block of W. 8th St. in Florence.

HILLSBORO

Failure to use ignition interlock

Zachary G. Anderson, 29, Hillsboro, was arrested at 5:07 p.m. May 25 near US-56 and Indigo Rd. on suspicion of failing to use a required anti-drinking ignition interlock, according to an offense report released Monday.

Anderson was booked into Marion County Jail and released two hours later after posting a $2,500 bond.

MARION

Burglary

Two half-inch drills, two impact drivers, a 2,000-watt generator, and a 12-volt liquid transfer pump, together valued at $1,580, were reported stolen at 8 a.m. May 20 from Darryl J. Brewer’s residence in the 300 block of Grant St. in Marion.

A report, released Monday, cited no signs of forced entry.

Burglary

No items were listed as stolen, and no evidence of forced entry was found in a reported burglary May 23 or 24 of a rental home in the 200 block of N. Cedar St.

The burglary was reported by John W. McKee, 72, of Concordia.

Drunken driving, trespassing

John A. Ottensmeier, 43, Marion, was arrested at 10:09 p.m. May 29 on suspicion of criminal trespassing at Casey’s General Store and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol at Cedar and Melvin Sts. in Marion.

He was jailed in lieu of posting a $500 bond.
