SHERIFF

Burglary, criminal damage

A kayak valued at $1,000 was stolen and six windows or screens sustained damage estimated at $2,000 between 1 p.m. July 17 and 5:45 a.m. July 19 when a burglar broke into Justin L. Makovec’s residence in the 100 block of S. Smith St. in Lehigh.

An offense report, released Friday, indicates that an acquaintance is suspected.

Theft

Keaten L. Broomfield-Tate, 23, South Hutchinson, reported that a Reno County license plate was lost or stolen between 6:50 a.m. Aug. 4, and 6 p.m. Aug. 5 from his vehicle parked in a lot in the 700 block of E. D St.
