Patricia Hagan

Patricia N. “Granny” Hagan, 72, died Dec. 30 at her home in Marion. She had moved to Marion from Sedgwick in 2003 and was retired from Bank of America in Wichita.

She was born June 5, 1941, in Brad, Texas, to Oscar and Ima Kelly Smith. She grew up in Texas and New Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Hagan; daughter Shelly Melton; brother, Donald; two sisters, Louise Hamilton and LaVern Richardson; and a grandson.

She is survived by a son, Richard of Baltimore, Md.; a daughter, Robin Taylor of Marion; a sister, Larue Brown of Staunton, Va.; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion. A graveside service was Friday at Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick.

A memorial fund has been established with Progress Home Health and Hospice in care of the funeral home.
