MARION SENIOR CENTER:   Patrons brings baked goods for birthday

Marion Senior Center correspondent

Patrons celebrated Thelma Blosser’s birthday Jan. 8. Blosser brought homemade baked cookies. The movie “Clambake” was shown. It was lent by Elvis fan Lanell Hett.

January has been designated “Bring a friend, neighbor, relative or stranger off the street in for lunch” day.

The senior center received what mangers regard as a very good score in the 2013 site assessment from the Area Agency on Aging.

The center will be closed Jan. 20 for Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday.

Lunch Jan. 22 will include a program by former Valley United Methodist Church pastor Faye Wagner who works at Harden Hospice in McPherson.
