Paul Gaede

Paul Junior Gaede, 82, of Alameda, Calif. died Jan. 20. He was born June 9, 1931, to Henry J. and Elizabeth (Just) Gaede in Felt, Okla.

As a young boy, he moved with his family to Aulne, where he attended Aulne Elementary School for a short time until his family moved to Peabody. He graduated from Peabody High School in 1950.

After high school, he joined the Navy. He was stationed in San Diego, Calif., where he met his wife, Carmen. They were married April 1, 1955. They had one daughter, Barbara.

He retired as construction foreman for Pacific Gas and Electric in San Francisco, Calif. He was also a third-degree Mason of the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife Carmen of San Diego, Calif.; two sisters, Imogene Britton of Waverly and Sharon K. Pickens of Peabody; two grandsons; and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Agnes; a sister, Leona Gowin; and a daughter, Barbara La Rosa.

A memorial service will be held at Aulne Methodist Church. No date has been set.
