Peabody football moves to 6-player

Undergoing big changes for this season, Peabody football will drop down to the 6 player ranks.
“We look to have a solid amount of experience returning in 2022” coach Kody Tegtmeier said.
He is entering his fifth year as head coach.
“All of our juniors coming back had seen big varsity minutes in the 2021 season,” he said.
Peabody faced Tescott in its first game of the season, losing 43-6 Friday.
“We will likely be small in numbers once again, so we need to focus on our conditioning, as our guys will likely be playing all three sides of the ball week in and week out,” Tegtmeier said
Only three top starters are back on offense and defense — Jefferson Glover, Colton Gossen, and Kael Hutchison.
“We need to be physical, fast, and very good in the open field,” Tegtmeier said. “Learning to play each down for each other will once again be key to our team success this season.”
