Police report
Peabody police released the following reports:
Aug. 23: Property was recovered and had not yet been claimed.
Aug. 24: A domestic battery was investigated resulting in an individual being arrested.
Aug. 26: A U.S. military records check was completed.
Aug. 27: A possible burglary was reported and remains under investigation.
Aug. 29 : An officer observed a golf cart being driven in the early morning hours with three occupants. The officer pursued the golf cart. The cart stopped when it ran into a compost pile behind a residence at Third and Walnut streets. One person was arrested for theft, driving with a suspended license, obstruction of legal process, criminal damage to property, and fleeing and alluding. The case is under investigation.
Aug. 31: A football was found at Santa Fe Park and can be claimed at the police department.
Sept. 1: Two people were arrested on Chase County warrants.
Sunday: An individual was arrested for driving with a suspended license.
Tuesday: Officers took a report of theft and a child in need of care. A juvenile was arrested following an investigation of the case.
