Philip Crawford
Philip S. Crawford, 65, died Nov. 18, at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Wash.
He was born Nov. 30, 1944, in Wichita, to Carson Eugene and Elizabeth Ellen (Childs) Crawford.
He graduated as valedictorian in 1963 from Florence High School. He also graduated from Sterling College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in physics and political science and from Baruch College with a Master of Business Administration degree. He also did postgraduate studies at Columbia University in New York City.
He and Caroline Stephenson were married and divorced.
He was president of The Fermion Group Inc.
His father, Carson Crawford, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth of Cottonwood Falls; two brothers, Mark of Moundridge and Michael of Topeka; and a sister, Deborah of Wichita.
A celebration-of-life service was Nov. 30 at Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls. The Rev. Warren Olson officiated.
Burial was Dec. 1 at Prairie Grove Cemetery, west of Cottonwood Falls.
