Phyliss Gill

Services for Phyliss A. (Willinger) Gill, 89, who went home to be with her Lord Sept. 19 at the Stafford County Hospital in Stafford, were Monday at Turon Community Church, Turon.

She was born Sept. 10, 1933, to Charles and Gertrude Willinger of rural Hudson.

She was a graduate of Hudson High School. On Nov. 16, 1952, she married Dwain G. Gill of Sylvia.

A lifetime resident of Kansas, she was a mother and homemaker. She belonged to Turon Community Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwain; both parents; brother Darwin Willinger of Marble Falls, Texas; infant sister Shelia; and great-granddaughter Taylor.

Phyliss is survived by son Steve (and wife Vonda) Gill of Sylvia; daughters Cindy (and husband Galen) Childs of Abbyville, Carol (and husband Randy) Vogel of Marion, and Brenda (and husband David) Marshall of Hutchinson; brother Larry (and wife Maxine) Willinger of Farmington, New Mexico; sister Shirley Fischer of Seward; 11 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

Burial was in Sylvia Cemetery, Sylvia. Memorials have been established with Turon Community Church and Stafford County Hospital in care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box 247, Stafford KS 67578.
