March 5 — Police investigated a possible fight in the 300 block of N. Birch St. that turned out to be a family dispute.

March 6 — Officers investigated a trace amount of methamphetamine in a vehicle on private property.

March 7 — Police investigated a theft of a wallet and cell phone in the 400 block of N. Ash St. Officers checked on a possible suicidal person and contacted a mental health professional.

March 8 — Police responded to a fire at Dollar General Store. The case is being investigated by state fire marshals.

March 9 — Police provided traffic control for a stranded vehicle at Ash and D Sts. Police assisted sheriff’s deputies with a fight reported at Durham Cove.

Sunday — Police removed a person from a residence in the 400 block of S. Main St. and cited a driver for illegal registration during a traffic stop at 3rd and Ash Sts.

March 5 — Police checked on a dog reported at large in the 200 block of S. Cedar St. and served a nuisance property letter. Officers warned a driver about a white light to the rear of their vehicle. Police met with a door-to-door salesman and told him he couldn’t sell here in the 300 block of S. Thorp St. and checked on an open door in the 1200 block of E. Main St.

March 6 — Officers investigated a report of two people lying in a back yard with backpacks on in the 400 block of S. Coble St. The male, who appeared to be intoxicated, wished to be transported to an address at Peabody, but later became agitated and aggressive, head-butting one officer and spitting on another. Richard Todd Litton, 35, was arrested on suspicion of two counts of battery of a law enforcement of a law enforcement officer and assault on a law enforcement officer. The female did not appear intoxicated and was released without incident.

An officer checked on a male and a female arguing. Upon investigation, it was determined the female struck the male and kicked him. Tracy Morse, 43, was arrested for domestic battery.

March 7— Officers investigated a report of a vehicle in a ditch near 190th and Pawnee. Officers checked out a report of someone sleeping in a laundry room in the 1500 block of E. Main St. Police transported an individual arrested the previous night to the Harvey County line.

March 8 — Officers are investigated a report of damage caused to a building by a vehicle. A 911 disconnect was reported in the 200 block of Tanglewood St., but everything was OK. Police checked on a civil dispute in the 100 block of N. Roosevelt St., but took no action. Police took a dog at large in the 100 block of S. Roosevelt St. to Animal Health Center. Police checked on a suspicious person in the 100 block of N. Thorp St. Police assisted sheriff’s deputies with a disturbance at Durham Cove.

Friday — Police warned a driver for a brake light out and checked on a vehicle blocking traffic in the 200 block of E. Main St. Police investigated a disturbance in the 100 block of N. Roosevelt St., but everything was OK. Police cited drivers for speeding and an expired registration.

Saturday — Police warned a driver for speeding and issued warnings to two others for taillights out.

Sunday — Police did a welfare check in the 100 block of N. Roosevelt. Officers contacted the owner of two dogs at large in the park. Police cited a driver for failing to stop and having no proof of insurance. Officers warned another driver for a taillight out.
