ACTIVITY REPORTS

Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded. Dates may reflect starting or ending dates of officers’ shifts rather than actual dates of occurrence.

HILLSBORO

Feb. 14 — A driver was cited at Washington and B Sts. for having an expired license. A disconnected 911 call from the 600 block of N. Ash St. proved accidental. Police stood by during an exchange of property.

Feb. 15 — Routine activities and training.

Feb. 16 — A minor accident at Sonic Drive-In was investigated. A resident of the 100 block N. Washington St. complained about trash blowing in a neighbor’s yard. Information about an at-risk driver was relayed to state authorities. Debris was removed from US-56 and Holly Rd. Police helped an out-of-state trucker at Barkman Honey, a motorist with a flat tire at Ampride, and a motorist with windshield wiper problems at Casey’s General Store.

Thursday — A resident was taken home after a disconnected 911 call in the 500 block of S. Washington St. Police checked on a resident of the 200 block of E. Grand Ave.

Friday — Motorists were warned for speeding at Adams and D Sts. and for an equipment violation at US-56 and Adams St.

Saturday — A dog was reported to be running free. Property that came into police custody was returned to a resident. Motorists were warned for speeding at US-56 and Adams St. and at US-56 and Orchard Dr. and for not using turn signals at Ash and D Sts. A parking ticket was issued. Debris was removed from US-56 at Adams St. Police checked on a resident of the 300 block of N. Ash St.

Sunday — A driver was warned for speeding at Willow and Ash Sts. Police attempted to serve an arrest warrant.

MARION

Feb. 14 — Three drivers were warned for speeding or equipment violations. Suspicious activity in the 1500 block of E. Lawrence St. was checked. Found property was turned over to Kansas Highway Patrol.

Feb. 15 — The owner of a dog running free was contacted. A driver was warned for going the wrong way on a one-way street.

Feb. 16 — Recyclable items blowing down a street were picked up.

Thursday — Police contacted the owner of a vehicle that had slid down a driveway because of ice. Police also helped a motorist stuck in snow. A third motorist was warned for speeding.

Friday — Notice to vacate a deteriorated residence in the 400 block of S. 4th St. was served. A driver was warned for an equipment violation. A driving complaint in the 700 block of S. Freeborn St. was investigated.

Saturday — Bryttnii Johnson, 30, Marion, was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after an altercation in the 500 block of N. Cedar St. Police also stood by during a civil matter in the same block. A driver was warned for playing music too loudly.

Sunday — Kyle M. Tully, 33, Marion, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery and interference with a law enforcement officer after police were called to a fight in the 100 block of S. Roosevelt St. in which a victim suffered a head injury after being pushed. Two drivers were warned for speeding.
