ACTIVITY REPORTS
Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded. HILLSBORO
Jan. 16 — A towed farm implement sideswiped two vehicles on S. Ash St. A driver was cited for speeding at 140th and Indigo Rds. Police trained staff of the Marion school district about responding to active shooters.
Jan. 17 — A driver was warned about improper backing at Main and A Sts.
Jan. 18 — A driver was warned for having an expired license plate in the 800 block of E. D St.
Thursday — A driver reporting hitting a coyote on US-56 west of Adams St. A driver in the 300 block of W. D St. was warned for not using lights when required.
Friday — A dog running loose in the 300 block of N. Jefferson St. was returned to its owner. A driver was warned for an equipment violation at Ash and Juniper Sts. Police talked to residents about trespassing and parking issues. A report of suspicious activity in the 300 block of N. Adams St. was regarded as unfounded.
Saturday — A dog complaint was made in the 300 block of S. Washington St. Police helped a motorist who locked keys inside a vehicle.
Sunday — An accident was reported in the Sonic Drive-In parking lot.
