ACTIVITY REPORTS

Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded. Dates may reflect starting or ending dates of officers’ shifts rather than actual dates of occurrence.

HILLSBORO

Feb. 13 — A dog reported to be running free in the 700 block of S. Ash St. was not located.

Feb. 15 — Police helped a motorist with a disabled vehicle in the 100 block of Industrial Rd.

Thursday — Police helped a motorist who ran out of fuel on US-56.

Friday — No problems were found when checking reports of a suspicion vehicle and of a suspicion person in Memorial Park.

Saturday — Police provided security at Hillsboro Community Hospital after a patient was reported to be out of control. A delayed report of non-injury accident was investigated.

Sunday — Two vehicles parked three block apart had windows broken out overnight. A child who had failed to return home on time was located without incident. Drivers were warned for an equipment violation at Ash St. and Willow Rd. and for veering out of a traffic lane at 190th and Jade Rds. A resident complained about a possible violation of an order of protection.

MARION

Feb. 13 — A door left open at an undisclosed location was investigated.

Feb. 14 — No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident, reported last week, at Main and Roosevelt Sts.

Feb. 15 — A report of battery in the 400 block of S. Roosevelt St. was investigated, but no arrests were made and no offense report was released. A dog running free was taken to a veterinary clinic. Police stood by during a civil matter in the 100 block of Ashley Dr.

Thursday — A resident complained about being harassed by phone, but no arrest was made and no offense report was released.

Saturday — Charges appear to be pending after two steaks allegedly shoplifted from Carlsons’ Grocery were recovered from a resident in the100 block of N. Coble St.
