ACTIVITY REPORTS

Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded. Dates may reflect starting or ending dates of officers’ shifts rather than actual dates of occurrence.

HILLSBORO

March 20 — A driver just west of Hillsboro on 190th Rd. was warned for speeding. Suspicious activity reported in 100 block of N. Jefferson St. was not found.

March 21 — Residents complained about dogs running free in the 300 block of S. Washington St. and the 400 block of N. Ash St. and about possible violation of an order of protection from abuse. No problems were found after checking on a report of suspicious activity in the 200 block of Willow Rd.

Wednesday — A resident of the 200 block of N. Washington St. reported receiving threatening texts. Police assisted a motorist in the 100 block of S. Ash St. A resident had questions about park hours.

Thursday — James Wullenweber IV, 40, was arrested on a warrant alleging that he committed aggravated battery March 2. A complaint of trespassing in the 400 block of N. Ash St. was deemed unfounded.

Friday — A hit-and-run driver damaged a fire hydrant on Western Heights Circle.

Saturday — A resident of the 200 block of S. Jefferson St. turned down music after a neighbor complained about noise. Drivers in the 200 block of S. Jefferson St. and at B and Madison Sts. were warned for equipment violations.

MARION

March 20 — Police could not find a person reported to be in the attic of a residence in the 600 block of S. Cedar St. but did notice a natural gas leak. A suspicious person reported in the 600 block of Walnut St. was not found.

Wednesday — A resident had questions about a driver’s license.

Thursday — A parking citation was issued in the 900 block of Melvin St.

Friday — A suspicious vehicle reported in the 200 block of S. Cedar St. was not located.
