ACTIVITY REPORTS

Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded. Dates may reflect starting or ending dates of officers’ shifts rather than actual dates of occurrence.

HILLSBORO

Aug. 29 — A driver on 190th Rd. just west of town was warned for speeding. Police helped a camper obtain a spot at Memorial Park.

Aug. 30 — Drivers in the 300 block of N. Adams St. and at 170th and Indigo Rds. were warned for speeding. Drivers at Madison and D Sts. and at Birch and 3rd Sts. were warned about equipment violations. A driver at Ash and D Sts. was warned for failing to signal a turn.

Thursday — A fender-bender during a farmers market at Memorial Park was investigated. Drivers were warned about equipment violations in the 100 and 400 blocks of N. Ash St., for speeding in the 300 block of S. Ash St., and for illegal parking in the 300 block of E. A St. Police helped another camper obtain a spot at Memorial Park.

Friday — A parking complaint at Adams and B Sts. was investigated. A driver was warned for speeding on 190th Rd. west of town. A resident turned in property that had been lost.

Saturday — No problems were noted after a door was found open at the county fairgrounds. A driver was warned for speeding at D and Washington Sts.

Sunday — Police met with a resident in the 300 block of N. Main St. about a mental health concern.

MARION

Marion Police Chief Gideon Cody has declined to provide weekly reports of police activity.
