ACTIVITY REPORTS

Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded. Dates may reflect starting or ending dates of officers’ shifts rather than actual dates of occurrence.

HILLSBORO

Sept. 11 — An unwelcome visitor in the 400 block of N. Adams St. was told not to trespass. A non-injury accident on 3rd St. west of Adams St. was investigated. Surveillance video reportedly showing the shoplifting of a speaker five days earlier at TCT Broadband was reviewed.

Sept. 12 — An owner was cited for having a vicious dog after a dog bite was reported in the 200 block of N. Washington St. Owners of dogs running free in the 300 block of S. Adams St. and the 200 block of N. Washington St. were contacted.

Sept. 13 — A resident complained about unwanted phone calls.

Thursday — A driver at US-56 and Jade St. was cited for driving with a suspended license. A driver in the 200 block of E. Grand Ave. was warned about the need to wear seatbelts. A dog running free in the 100 block of S. Cedar St. was returned to its owner’s residence.

Friday — Police prepared for Saturday’s Arts and Crafts Fair.

Saturday — Multiple vehicles were cited for illegal parking. Non-injury accidents in the 200 block of S. Ash St. and the 100 block of W. A St. were investigated. Drivers were warned about speeding on US-56 near Kanza Rd. and for exhibiting speed in the 400 block of S. Main St. Reckless driving reported at the city’s sports complex was not verified.
