ACTIVITY REPORTS
Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded. Dates may reflect starting or ending dates of officers’ shifts rather than actual dates of occurrence.
HILLSBORO
June 3 — A juvenile reported as a runaway was found and taken to juvenile intake in Marion. Police helped a business issue a no-trespassing order. A disconnected 911 call in the 400 block of W. 1st St. was found to have been a pocket dial.
June 4 — Two warnings for J-turns were issued in the 100 block of E. Grand Ave.
June 5 — A traffic stop resulted in two adults being arrested on drug charges and an accompanying juvenile being turned over to his parents. Police helped remove a small snake from a business. A resident reported possible underage drinking. Drivers were warned for not using child restraints in the 100 block of N. Jefferson St. and for an equipment violation at D and Madison Sts. Police helped a motorist check window tinting.
Thursday — Debris was removed from the roadway at D and Wilson Sts. Drivers were ticketed for driving with a suspended license at 190th and Jade Rds. and for having an expired license and registration in the 600 block of Ash St. and were warned for having a headlight out on US-56 west of Elm St., for speeding on 190th Rd. west of Oak St., and for an equipment violation in the 800 block of S. Ash St. Police met with a resident about an eviction.
Friday — A grass trimmer and a cordless saw were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in a back yard in the 200 block of S. Washington St. Police monitored speed in the 100 block of S. Main St.
Saturday — A driver was warned about making a public exhibition of speed in the 100 block of W. Grand Ave. Police helped remove tree branches after a storm and investigated a complaint of aggressive driving.
Sunday — Drivers were warned about improper display of vehicle registration in the 200 block of N. Ash St. and for speeding in the 800 block of E. D St. Police met with a clerk at Casey’s General Store about a civil matter and helped a driver with a flat tire on a boat trailer.
MARION
June 3 — Investigation of an unspecified situation in the 100 block of S. Roosevelt St. is continuing after police took a juvenile to a correctional facility in Junction City.
June 4 — Police determined that no crime had occurred after checking on a report of a disturbance in the 1500 block of E. Lawrence St.
Thursday — Debris was removed from the roadway at US-56 and Cedar St. Police met with a resident about a civil matter.
Friday — A driver was ticketed for speeding in the 500 block of N. Roosevelt St. Other drivers were warned for speeding at US-56 and Cedar St. and for an equipment violation at US-56 and Industrial St. A resident alerted police to a scam call.
Sunday — A drunken man running around and knocking on windows in the 300 block of S. Roosevelt St. was located, but police determined that no crime had been committed. Two drivers were warned for speeding at US-56 and Cedar St.
