ACTIVITY REPORTS

Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded. Dates may reflect starting or ending dates of officers’ shifts rather than actual dates of occurrence.

HILLSBORO

Jan. 19 — A driver was ticketed for having no vehicle liability insurance at US-56 and Ash St. No problems were found in checking on a disconnected 911 call from the 300 block of S. Main St.

Jan. 20 — Police returned lost property and helped with a situation involving mental health. No problems were found in checking on a disconnected 911 call from the 200 block of S. Ash St.

Jan. 21 — Police interceded in a family argument in the 300 block of S. Ash St.

Thursday — A parking complaint in the 700 block of S. Ash St. was resolved. Police met with a resident about a domestic concern and found no damage when investigating a report of possible criminal damage to a vehicle. Police checked city streetlights.

Friday — Police talked to a resident about a possible scam

Saturday — Police checked on a student at Tabor College and helped the sheriff’s office on a matter in Peabody.

Sunday — Police helped determine that what was reported as a structure fire near US-56 and Goldenrod Rd. actually was controlled burning of brush.

MARION

Jan. 19 — Two drivers were warned at US-56 and Cedar St. and one at Main and Elm Sts. for speeding or equipment violations.

Jan. 20 — Police helped with an out-of-control juvenile at Oasis special education school. They found no problems in checking on a resident of the 300 block of E. Santa Fe St. Police helped the sheriff’s department with a semi-trailer truck blocking the US-56/77/K-150 roundabout and with a disturbance in Peabody. A driver was warned about an unspecified moving violation at Main and Freeborn Sts.

Jan. 21 — Routine activities.

Thursday — Police helped the sheriff’s office deal with an emotionally disturbed person near 190th and Mustang Rds. No problems were found in checking on a resident of the 500 block of S. Cedar St.

Friday — Police investigated a report of a disturbance at Country Inn motel but found no problems.

Saturday — Police helped with traffic control during a snowstorm.

Sunday — Routine activities.
