ACTIVITY REPORTS
Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded. Dates may reflect starting or ending dates of officers’ shifts rather than actual dates of occurrence.
HILLSBORO
Feb. 9 — Police conferred with Department of Children and Families personnel about a child custody case, talked to a resident who reported someone had been yelling at him, and investigated a parking complaint in the 400 block of W. Grand Ave.
Feb. 10 — A red Ford Mustang that reportedly was being driven improperly in the 100 block of N. Main St. was not found. A deer carcass was removed from the roadway at 110th and Indigo Rds. A driver was warned for running a stop sign at Ash and B Sts.
Feb. 11 — Police helped sheriff’s deputies with a trespassing complaint on 220th Rd. west of K-15. Two hitchhikers dropped off by Canton police were driven to Marion Reservoir, where they wanted to camp. A resident turned in a key found at Ash and D Sts. Police talked to another resident about a civil issue, checked on a report of a dog loose in the 200 block of S. Cedar St., and helped a driver at US-56 and Orchard Dr.
Thursday — A driver was warned for speeding at 190th and Jade St. A dog was reported loose at Lincoln and 2nd Sts.
Friday — Police investigated a complaint of reckless driving at Main and D Sts.
Saturday — No problems were found in checking on disconnected 911 calls from the 100 block of S. Wilson St. and the 300 block of S. Main.

MARION
Feb. 9 — Police checked on a resident of the 800 block of S. Coble St. and helped the sheriff’s office with a traffic stop on US-56/77 near 260th Rd.
Feb. 10 — Police helped with an out-of-control juvenile at Oasis special education school, stood by during a civil matter there, again checked on a resident of the 800 block of S. Coble St. and also checked on a resident of the 400 block of N. Roosevelt St. Two drivers were warned for speeding at US-56 and Timber Rd.
Feb. 11 — A driver stopped for an equipment violation at Main and 1st Sts. was arrested on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Police talked to a resident about an unspecified concern.
Thursday — An injury accident near Main and Santa Fe Sts. remained under investigation. A driver was arrested on suspicion of having a suspended license during a traffic stop at US-56 and Timber Rd. Police checked on residents of the 400 block of S. Lincoln St. and the 500 block of S. Cedar St..
Friday — Police investigated an unspecified complaint at Marion High School and checked on a resident of the 300 block of N. Roosevelt St. A driver was warned for not having or using headlights at Main and Cedar Sts.
Saturday — Four drivers were warned for speeding or equipment violations at US-56 and Timber Rd., US-56 and Cedar St., Main and Roosevelt Sts., and Main and Locust Sts.
Sunday — Drivers were warned for speeding at Main and Elm Sts. and at Denver St. and Eisenhower Dr. Police helped the sheriff’s office at a traffic stop on US-77 near 150th Rd.
