Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded. HILLSBORO

April 13 — Police dealt with a groundhog in the 300 block of N. Lincoln St. and met with a resident concerned about stray cats. Debris was removed from a street. A driver was ticketed for having an expired license plate in the 700 block of Orchard Dr.

April 14 — No problems were found in checking on a resident of the 400 block of S. Main St. and on a disconnected 911 call from the 200 block of N. Washington St. A driver was ticketed for running a stop sign in the 200 block of W. 3rd St. An unspecified number of other drivers were warned about equipment violations.

April 15 — Police dealt with a raccoon at Hillsboro Senior Center. Police took at report of a dog bite at Hillsboro Community Hospital. A child reportedly playing in the street in the 400 block of W. Grand Ave. was not found.

Thursday — A resident of the 300 block of S. Birch St. reported an email scam. Another resident turned in found property.

Friday — A suspicious vehicle reported at Hillsboro High School was not found. Police responded to a false alarm at Central National Bank. No problems were found in checking on a resident of the 400 block of S. Cedar St. An unspecified number of drivers were warned about equipment or driving violations.

Saturday — Responding to an automated crash detection US-56 and Orchard Dr., police found a cell phone lying in the street and returned it to its owner. They also investigated a report of one dog attacking another in the 700 block of W. B St. and ticketed a resident for allowing a dog to be loose in the 100 block of S. Date St. A driver was ticketed for having no license in the 600 block of N. Ash St. An unspecified number of other drivers were warned about equipment or driving violations.

Sunday — Found property was returned to a resident. A driver was ticketed for running a stop sign in the 500 block of S. Main St. An unspecified number of other drivers were warned about equipment or driving violations.

MARION

April 13 — A juvenile was taken to a detention center after an unspecified disturbance at Marion County Special Education Cooperative. Suspicious activity at the city tree dump was reported. Police gave a ride to a person walking on US-56.

April 14 — Police helped sheriff’s deputies with a traffic stop on Main St. in Marion and Hillsboro police with a traffic stop on US-56. Drivers were warned about equipment violations at Main and Coble Sts. and at Cedar and Sherman Sts.

April 15 — Investigation of a fraud case, a report of which has not yet been released, began. Drivers were warned for speeding and for running a stop sign at US-56 and Timber Rd.

Thursday — A driver was warned about an equipment violation at Lincoln and Lawrence Sts. Police checked on a driver on US-56/77 and 210th Rd.

Friday — A dog was reported loose at an unspecified location. Two drivers were warned for speeding and a third about an equipment violation at US-56 and Cedar St. and at Main St. and Eisenhower Dr.

Saturday — A driver was ticketed for going 109 mph in a 65-mph zone and five others were warned about equipment violations in four traffic stops on US-56 at Cedar St., one on US-56 at Timber Rd., and one at Denver and Fink Sts.

Sunday — Two drivers were warned about equipment violations on US-56 at Cedar St. and at Timber Rd
