ACTIVITY REPORTS

Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded. Dates may reflect starting or ending dates of officers’ shifts rather than actual dates of occurrence.

HILLSBORO

May 4 — Police conducted a lockdown drill at Hillsboro Elementary School. A reportedly suspicious person at Ampride was not found. Numerous permits for door-to-door sales were processed. A driver was warned for speeding at Indigo and 160th Rds. Police talked to a resident about a civil matter.

May 5 — Routine activities.

May 6 — A wreck at Ash and D Sts. was investigated. Police determined that an incident did not violate an order of protection. A reportedly suspicious person on Orchard Dr. was not found. Drivers were ticketed for having expired registrations in the 100 block of S. Ash St. and on US-56 at Santa Fe St.

Thursday — Investigation of an identity theft is continuing. A resident complained about a dog in the 300 block of N. Cedar St.

Friday — A wreck in a parking lot of Casey’s General Store was investigated. Property turned in to police was returned to its owner. A resident complained about a dog in the 600 block of Orchard Dr. Police helped a resident with a medical issue involving a family friend.

Saturday — Drivers were warned for speeding on US-56 at Adams St., for running stop signs at D and Washington Sts., and at Ash and Willow Sts., for allowing young people to ride in the back of a pickup at Main and 1st Sts., and for driving without lights when required at Ash and D St.

Sunday — An employee accidentally set off an alarm at Casey’s. Police did not find a vehicle reported to be speeding on Main St. or a motorcycle reported to be speeding on Date St.
