Hillsboro

July 13: Officers took a trespass complaint and took a report of a stolen bicycle. Police also investigated a report of battery that involved a juvenile being assaulted by other juveniles.

July 14: Officers took reports of a missing purse and missing medication. The medication was found at a residence. Police took a report that a tree service had trimmed trees without permission, then requested payment.

July 16: Officers took reports of a backyard campfire and an abandoned vehicle. Police took parking, and dog complaints and checked on suspicious activity.

Friday: Police took reports of a service station drive-off and an abandoned vehicle, a gas meter that had been struck, and two missing cats.

Saturday: Officers returned lost property and investigated suspicious activity.

Marion

July 7: Officers investigated an injury accident involving a bicycle.

July 8: Police helped with a mental patient at St. Luke Hospital, took a report of vandalism in the park, investigated a non-injury accident, and took noise and harassment complaints.

July 9: Police investigated a reckless driving complaint and arrested Donald Litherland, 56, of Herington on charges of driving while intoxicated and in possession of methamphetamines, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. He also was accused of having expired registration. Police responded to a report of a suicidal person and took them to St. Luke. Police took a report of a door-to-door salesperson.

July 10: Police responded to an accident and arrested Nancy Garcia, 39, of Marion on a charge of disorderly conduct.

July 11: Officers provided traffic control for a stalled vehicle on Main St.

July 12: Officers took a report of an old flag found on Cedar St.

July 13: Police took a report of lost keys.

July 14: Officers looked for junk vehicles and arrested Derek Evans, 21, of Marion on a charge of reckless driving.

July 15: Police assisted sheriff’s officers in marijuana removal, took a report five juveniles from Hillsboro attempting to fight a juvenile from Marion, and took a noise complaint.

Wednesday: Police took a report of identity theft.

Thursday: Police took a report of a phone scam at Marion Assisted Living and found 21 inoperable car violations in alleys throughout the town.

Friday: Officers took a report of a possibly stolen vehicle.

Saturday: Officers took a report of a trailer blocking a driveway, and arrested a juvenile on suspicion of driving under the influence, transporting an open container, and being a minor in possession of alcohol.

Sunday: Police took a report of a cow at large within city limits but were unable to locate the cow.

PEABODY

July 15: Jarred Feldman, Peabody, was arrested and charged with probation violation and disorderly conduct.

July 16: Officers took a report of criminal damage to a residence.

Saturday: Mariano Huerta was arrested after a routine traffic stop for speeding and charged with driving without a driver’s license.
