July 21: Police took reports of criminal damage to property, dog at large, and lost dog, and arrested Brandon French, 18, Marion on suspicion of domestic abuse and criminal restraint. Police performed a welfare check on a stranded vehicle.

July 22: Police took a report of a break-in.

July 23: Police took a report of possible criminal threat.

July 24: Police took a report of dangerous property; the homeowner said they would correct the issue.

July 26: Officers attempted to perform a welfare check on an intoxicated person in town but was unable to locate. Police took a parking complaint.

July 27: Officers assisted Sheriff’s deputies with a stolen boat case and responded to a home at a residents request for two juveniles stealing from a garden.

July 28: Police took a burglary and theft report, responded to a fight in progress, and performed a house watch after a report of an eviction by the property owner.

Thursday: Police took reports of stolen property, an underage driver, suspicious activity at a business on Main St.

Friday: Police responded to an unattended death, towed a vehicle from an alley for partially blocking the alley and having an expired tag, took a report of a skunk walking on Main St. During a traffic stop for a vehicle driving without lights, police arrested Dan Kyle, 51, Williston, North Dakota, on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and transporting an open container.

Saturday: Officers responded to a non-injury accident.

PEABODY POLICE

July 29: Health and safety ordinance violation letters were issued to David Orcutt at 907 N. Locust, David and Shannon DeNardi at 501 N. Elm, and Shirley Strotkamp at 111 N. Vine. Police took an information report for the Department of Children and Families on a recent welfare check of a juvenile. Officers began a multi-jurisdiction investigation into the attempted distribution of prescription drugs. The investigation is ongoing.

July 30: A case of alleged exploitation of a dependent adult was investigated and determined to be unfounded. Police began an investigation into a case of abuse allegations involving juveniles.
