Police provided these reports this week of their activities. Routine training, patrols, office work and other assistance to other agencies are excluded.

hillsboro

April 22 — Officers assisted a motorist at Ash and 3rd Sts. and checked suspicious activity downtown.

April 23 — Officers responded to a non-injury vehicle accident in the 400 block of E. A St., assisted EMS in the 100 block of S. Date St., and made contact with two subjects riding skateboards in the middle of D St.

April 24 — Officers investigated a disturbance complaint in the 500 block of S. Lincoln St., responded to a non-injury accident at the sports complex, and assisted sheriff’s deputies with cattle that were loose.

April 25 — Officers performed a welfare check in the 700 block of W. Grand St.

Thursday — Officers investigated dog complaints in the 300 block of N. Main St., 300 block of N. Washington St., and 200 block of W. B St. A dog reported stolen in the 200 block of S. Adams St. was later found; the dog had chewed through its restraint. Officers checked suspicious activity at the old AMPI building.

Friday — Officers took a report of two abandoned bicycles in the 400 block of S. Main St., worked with community corrections on a possible probation violation, located an abandoned vehicle in the roadway at 210th and Indigo Rds., and checked a suspicious vehicle at Cedar and B Sts.

Saturday — Officers executed a search warrant in the 400 block of S. Cedar St.; drug paraphernalia and marijuana was seized. Officers performed welfare checks in the 400 block of W. Grand St. and at Tabor College. A commercial alarm in Hillsboro Heights was investigated. Officers assisted EMS in the 100 block of S. Birch St. and a motorist on Industrial Rd.

April 23 — Police took a report of a runaway juvenile. The juvenile was transported to Junction City, and then home. Police responded to a verbal disturbance at the corner of Division and Vine Sts.

April 25 — Police took a report of inappropriate activity involving juveniles at Peabody-Burns Junior/Senior High School. An investigation will begin next week. Police took a second report of the same runaway juvenile who was transported to Junction City, and then home.

Thursday — Police took three more runaway calls on the same juvenile. Each time they were transported to Junction City, and then home.
