Activity reports

Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded.

Hillsboro

March 18 — Suspicious activity was reported at Grand and Floral Sts. for a car door that had been open for 3 hours.

March 19 — An abandoned vehicle was reported in Hillsboro Heights. A report was made of an attempted scam call with someone posing as the IRS.

March 20 — A civil standby was done in the Industrial Park and everything was OK. A traffic complaint was reported for a motorist driving recklessly in the 400 block of W. D St.

March 21 — A motorist was assisted with directions. A 911 disconnect occurred in the 400 block of E. First St., with a verbal argument between individuals. A Sirius radio report was made of a vehicle emergency in the 700 block of S. Lincoln St., but no vehicle was found.

March 22 — A harassment complaint was reported on Willow Rd. for an individual calling people after being told not to. A harassment complaint was reported in the 200 block of N. Washington St. for an individual trying to contact people after being told not to.

March 23 — A commercial alarm was reported in the 500 block of E. D St., but everything was OK. A harassment complaint was reported in the 900 block of E. D St. for an individual receiving multiple phone calls.

Marion

March 18 — An individual was warned for a dog running loose and without dog tags. A motorist was warned for a brake light out at Santa Fe and Walnut Sts.

March 19 — A motorist received assistance with a locked vehicle.

March 21 — A motorist was warned for a brake light out. Officers spoke with an individual in about possible violation of a protection order, but no report was made.

March 22 — A motorist was warned for obstructed windows due to frost. A report was made of two dogs loose on S. 1st St., but neither was located. A motorist was warned for a headlight out near Eisenhower Dr. and Kellison St. A report was made of a barking dog in the 100 block of Billings St.

March 23 — A motorist was warned for speeding on N. Cedar St. A report was made of a possible scam. A report was made of a barking dog in the 100 block of Billings St., but the owner could not be contacted.

March 24 — A motorist was warned for speeding near 5th and Main Sts.

Peabody

March 19 – A hit and run accident in 100 block of N. Olive St. resulted in an being transported to Newton Medical Center for a medical evaluation and mental-health screening.

March 22 – Assistance was given for an out-of-control juvenile in the 500 block of N. Elm St.

March 23 – Lauren R. Wolf, 34, Peabody, was arrested on suspicion of two counts of assault, and criminal threat in the 200 block of N. Walnut St. A reportedly suicidal person in 700 block of N. Locust was transported to Newton Medical Center for medical evaluation and mental-health screening. A trespass order was reported in the 700 block of N. Locust St.

March 24 – A report was made of domestic battery on Prairie Lawn Rd. near E. 9th St., but no arrest was made.
