Activity reports

Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded.

Hillsboro

Nov. 10 — A dog complaint was reported in the 200 block of S. Cedar St., and a camper hookup was provided in Memorial Park. Suspicious activity was reported in the 400 block of N. Main St.

Nov. 11 – A dog complaint was reported in the 500 block of S. Main St., and a trespassing incident was reported in the 200 block of S. Jefferson St.

Nov. 12 – A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 400 block of S. Adams St.

Nov. 13 – Two parking complaints were reported in the 400 block of S. Adams St.

Thursday – A possible accident was reported in the 300 block of N. Ash St., but no damage was found. A person received assistance with questions over a vehicle purchase, and a false alarm was reported in the 300 block of N. Ash St.

Friday – Suspicious people were reported in the 700 block of S. Wilson St., and in the 100 block of N. Madison St.

Saturday – A dog complaint was reported in the 400 block of N. Ash St., and a suicidal patient was reported at Hillsboro Community Hospital.

Marion

Nov. 11 – A lost wallet was turned in to officers.

Nov. 12 – A loose dog was reported in the 300 block of S. Cedar St. that was picked up by its owner. A motorist was warned in the 100 block of N. 3rd St. for a tail light out. A person was escorted from a business in the 200 block of E. Main St. Officers responded to the 500 block of N. Cedar St., but no action was needed since there was no crime.

Nov. 13 – A report of a motorist slumped over in his/her vehicle at the transfer station proved unfounded. A possible scam attempt was reported. A person received assistance retrieving his vehicle from another person.

Thursday – A person received assistance contacting the driver control bureau.

Friday – A person received assistance with a opossum on his/her porch.

Saturday – A loose dog in the 600 block of N. Cedar St. was taken to Animal Health Center.
