Sept. 21: Officers took a report of a person knocking on a door and fleeing, and checked on suspicious activity in Memorial Park.

Sept. 22: Police took a dog complaint, checked on a suspicious person in Hillsboro Heights, and responded to a report of a reckless driver.

Sept. 23: Officers took reports of a skunk living under a porch, an intoxicated person, and a disorderly person.

Sept. 24: Police responded to a domestic disturbance, assisted a person who was trying to locate lost property, and took a traffic complaint.

Thursday: Officers took a report of a protection from stalking order violation, fingerprinted a person for employment, and took two parking complaints.

Friday: Police checked on suspicious activity and took a report of a domestic disturbance in Hillsboro Heights.

Saturday: Officers assisted with the Emergency Preparedness Fair, took a trespass complaint, and took a harassment complaint.

Sept. 15: Officers assisted Marion Ambulance with two medical calls, took copies of Axon Videos to the Marion County Attorney, and checked on an unattended vehicle at a business.

Sept. 16: Officers assisted Community Corrections with attempting to locate a client with a warrant, provided a welfare check on a suicidal person located outside the city, issued a verbal warning for an equipment violation, and responded to a report of loud music.

Sept. 17: Officers conducted a traffic stop issuing a citation for speeding, met with SAFE team leader in reference to a presentation on Kansas graduated driver’s license requirements, assisted Marion ambulance with a fall victim, and issued a citation for a child safety restraint violation.

Sept. 18: Officers took a report of criminal damage to property, issued a verbal warning for inattentive driving, and located and secured an open business door and contacted key holder.

Sept. 19: Officers took a report of burglary and theft to a business, responded to a domestic disturbance, assisted Marion County Sheriff with a call, took a report of a parking issue, administered breath tests at the homecoming dance, and conducted foot patrol in the park for Art in the Park vendors.

Sept. 20: Officers provided security and traffic control for Art in the Park, issued a verbal warning for failure to have headlamps on when required, and responded to a 911 disconnect.

Sept. 21: Officers worked a non-injury accident and checked on a suspicious person at a business in the early hours of the morning.

Sept. 22: Officers conducted multiple follow-up investigations, took a report of a child custody issue, took a theft report, responded to a report of a dog at large and issued a warning to its owner, Officers also responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle, responded to a domestic disturbance, and arrested two individuals.

Sept. 23: Officers conducted follow-up of civil incident from previous day. Officers provided two VIN inspections. Officers met with members of the Marion County Substance Prevention Coalition to discuss an alcohol server retail training program. Officers attempted to serve an arrest warrant. Officers issued a verbal warning for speeding.

Sept. 24: Officers conducted a follow-up investigation, met with KBI regarding a case, responded to a non-injury accident, took a report of trespassing, and took a report of a noise complaint.

Thursday: Officers worked on reports and conducted follow-up investigations, provided a VIN inspection, issued a verbal warning for speeding, provided standby at Marion High School volleyball games, and performed foot patrol in residential areas.

Friday: Officers assisted a motorist that was locked out of their vehicle on US-56, responded to a report of trespassing, issued several warnings for traffic infractions, responded to a report of an unconscious woman in an alley who was transported to St. Luke Hospital via ambulance, and arrested a suspect for battery of a law enforcement officer and disorderly conduct.

Saturday: Officers provided traffic control and led the Old Settlers’ Day parade, responded to a report of an unwanted person at a residence, checked on suspicious vehicles, and responded to a report of a barking dog.

Sunday: Officers responded to a water leak at a vacant residence and contacted the property owner. Officers also conducted a traffic stop and arrested a passenger for a warrant. A suspect search revealed methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on their person. Officers responded to a report of juveniles acting suspicious around a vacant residence, with one juvenile arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of tobacco by a minor, and transported the juvenile to Junction City Juvenile Detention Center.
