Incident Report


Oct. 5: Officers worked a non-injury accident near Ash St. on US-56, investigated a dog complaint in the 400 block of S. Date St., responded to a noise complaint in the 100 block of S. Date St., and assisted Marion police and Marion County Sheriff officers with a vehicle pursuit.

Oct. 6: Officers worked a traffic complaint on US-56, took a report of items stolen from a vehicle at Tabor College, investigated a parking complaint at Grand and Elm, and assisted with a federal agency background investigation. Officers investigated a report of locks being cut on several storage sheds and determined nothing had been stolen.

Oct. 7: Officers checked suspicious activity at the airport, served an arrest warrant in the 100 block of S. Date St., and responded to a report of a reckless driver on US- 56.

Oct. 8: Officers responded to a reported drug overdose in the 100 block of W. B St., performed a welfare check in the 200 block of S. Ash St., intervened in a verbal altercation in the 300 block of N. Jefferson, and received firearms training.

Oct. 9: Officers assisted a motorist on US-56. took a report of the theft of political campaign signs, fingerprinted an individual for employment, investigated damage to three water hydrants located at the pond on US-56 that appeared to have been struck, and checked an abandoned vehicle on US-56.

Oct. 10: Officers removed barricades someone had placed in the street, took a report of suspicious activity in the 400 block of S. Date St., checked suspicious activity on 190th Rd., and took a report of a subject opening mail boxes.

Oct. 11: Officers attended active shooter training at Hillsboro High School, and took a report of a non-injury accident.

Oct. 13: Police patrolled school zones.

Oct. 14: Officers attended Alcohol Detection Intoxilyzer 8000 training, collected pharmaceuticals for disposal, performed rifle qualification, and enforced a vehicle window tint violation.

Oct. 15: Police assisted with locating a runaway child and investigated burglaries at a storage unit. Officers also provided traffic enforcement for speeding, failure to dim headlights, and seatbelts.

Thursday: Officers investigated complaints on campaign signs blocking view of traffic.

Friday: Police investigated the misuse of a 911 dial, provided traffic enforcement on unlawful riders, and notified an owner of an open door at their business downtown.

Saturday: Police assisted with the Great Pumpkin Run and Tabor College Run and investigated a possible drunk driver.

Sunday: Officers prepared firearms for government inspection.


Oct. 13: David Nunn of Peabody was arrested and charged with criminal threat.

Thursday: Peabody police provided an outside assist to Marion County Sheriff’s Department on a traffic stop.

Friday: Officer assisted with a patient matter at Westview Manor.

Saturday: Officers took a report of a runaway juvenile.
