Feb. 5 — A dog running loose was investigated in the 300 block of S. Ash St. Parents of a juvenile who was operating a vehicle beyond her driver’s license restrictions were contacted.

Feb. 6 — A phone scam was investigated. A bond agent searching for a property absconder and was assisted. An anhydrous leak in industrial park was investigated.

Feb. 7 — A commercial alarm in the 500 block of E. D St. was investigated.

Feb. 8 — A damage complaint involving someone who had thrown mud on a window screen in the 100 block of N. Birch St., a harassment complaint in the 500 block of E. Grand St., and a suspicious vehicle in the 900 block of E. D St. were investigated.

Thursday —Several school truancy complaints, a traffic complaint in the 300 block of N. Ash St., and a commercial alarm in the 500 block of E. D St. were investigated.

Friday — A possible theft in the 100 block of N. Cedar St. was investigated; however, the item was located and determined not to have been stolen. A suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of S. Cedar St., parking complaint in the 200 block of S. Madison St., and a vandalism report in the 500 block of E. Grand St. were investigated. A commercial alarm in the 900 block of E. D St. and a report of a struck gas meter in the 400 block of S. Ash St. were investigated.

Saturday — A property dispute in the 100 block of S. Ash St., non-injury accident in the 300 block of N. Ash St., and resident who had become locked out of their property in the 100 block of N. Washington St. were investigated.

Feb. 7 — A report of suspicious activity in the 200 block of N. Roosevelt St. was investigated.

Feb. 8 — A report of possible animal neglect in the 300 block of S. Lincoln St. was investigated; owner was contacted and everything was determined to be “okay.” A report of theft in the 600 block of S. Roosevelt St. was investigated. A broken down semi in the Pizza Hut parking lot was investigated.

Thursday — The owner of a downtown business was contacted after a door was discovered to be ajar.

Friday — A commercial alarm in the 1200 block of E. Main St. and a dog running free were investigated. A possible theft was investigated; items were later located by owner. Three warnings for parking near fire hydrants were issued.

Saturday — A dog running free in the 300 block of N. Cedar St. and a report of possible trespassing were investigated. A warning for no child safety restraint was issued. A pedestrian walking a dog without a leash was given a leash to use. A report of debris on the runway at Marion Municipal Airport was investigated; damage to a fence was located nearby and information was relayed to sheriff’s deputies. A report of a missing child was investigated; child was later found.

Sunday — A report of damage to property was investigated; a suspect was located but the case is still under investigation.

Feb. 7 — A case of suspected abuse of a dependent adult was filed with the Department of Children and Families. A non-injury accident in which a motorist allegedly struck a parked vehicle in the 600 block of N. Maple St. was investigated; police determined the motorist was under the influence of alcohol. A complaint for an inoperable vehicle nuisance in the 500 block of E. 2nd St., health and safety nuisance letter for a property in the 800 block of N. Walnut St. were filed.

Friday — A report of a stolen vehicle in the 600 block of E. 2nd St. was investigated; police determined the vehicle was not stolen and the situation was a civil matter.

Sunday — A case for an inoperable vehicle nuisance in the 800 block of N. Elm St. was filed with the city prosecutor.
