March 12 — Suspicious activity in the 200 block of S. Jefferson St. and a suspicious person at Cedar and Grand Sts. were investigated.

March 13 — Harassment on social media and a fire alarm at Tabor College were investigated. Debris was removed from the 200 block of W. B St. Stolen items were returned to owner and a welfare check in the 500 block of S. Washington St. was performed.

March 14 — A noise complaint in the 200 block of S. Jefferson St., report of a suspicious odor in the 400 block of E. 1st St., and a commercial alarm in the 900 block of E. D St. were investigated.

March 15 — An abandoned vehicle in the 400 block of N. Ash St. was investigated.

Thursday — A report of harassment in the 200 block of S. Floral St., fire alarm at Tabor College, commercial alarm in the 500 block of N. Ash St., and report of an abandoned vehicle in the 300 block of N. Ash St. were investigated.

Friday — A report of a disturbance between father and son in the 400 block of E. 1st St., commercial alarm in the 900 block of E. D St., and a social media harassment complaint were investigated. Four complaints of unlocked vehicles that had cash and loose change stolen were investigated.

Saturday — Suspicious activity in the 100 block of S. Main St., an injury accident, child custody dispute in the 500 block of E. D St., and theft in the 200 block of S. Birch St. were investigated. A report of cash and loose change stolen from several unlocked vehicles was investigated.

Sunday — Several more reports of small amounts of change or cash stolen from unlocked vehicles were investigated.

Marion

March 13 — A report of a dog bite was investigated. A warning for parking in a no parking zone was issued. Directions were provided to a lost truck driver in the 200 block of N. Cedar St.

March 14 — A warning for speeding in a school zone was issued. A possible scam was investigated.

March 15 — Reports of suspicious activity in the 400 block of Walnut St. and in the 600 block of S. Roosevelt St. were investigated.

Thursday — A warning for a broken vehicle mirror was issued.

Friday — A report of an unknown disturbance in the 100 block of Locust St. was investigated.

Saturday — A rollover accident on US-56 and Nighthawk was investigated. A dog running free near Roosevelt and Lawrence St. was captured and returned to its owner. Smoke coming from a homeowner’s backyard was investigated; the homeowner was advised that city ordinance prohibits burning yard waste.

Sunday — A dog running free was observed; its owner was notified in the 200 block of S. Lincoln St. Traffic control assistance was provided to the sheriff’s department when smoke was observed near 250th Rd. on US-77.

March 14 — A resident’s property was taken in for safekeeping

March 15 — A domestic disturbance involving a man who allegedly kicked in his ex-wife’s front door and broke a plate glass window in the 300 block of Elm St. was investigated. The man, Matthew Kangas of Peabody, allegedly cut his wrist severely and assaulted a police officer during the incident before he was subdued, treated, and transported to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

Saturday — An attempted suicide in the 100 block of N. Walnut St. was investigated.
