Alycia Pontious and Timothy Turner, both of Emporia, announce their engagement.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Marion High School and Flint Hills Technical College. She works for Lyon County Sheriff’s Department as a cook. Sheila Williams of Marion and Benny Pontious of Ponca City, Okla., are her parents.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Emporia High School and Flint Hills Technical College. He works as a floor hand at Glacier-Petroleum. Warren and Beth Olson of Cottonwood Falls are his parents.

Their wedding is planned for June 21 at Aulne United Methodist Church.
