Principal, teacher may kiss a pig
Marion Elementary students may witness a curious display of porky public affection Friday.
School librarian Lori Kirkpatrick is organizing the event as a potential reward for participating in Children’s Book week.
“If the students meet the reading goal I have set for them, Principal Wasmuth and the teacher of the class with the most minutes spent reading will kiss a piglet,” she said.
If the students come through, pig smooching will commence at 1:30 p.m. Friday on the west side of the school.
Each student was asked to read at home for at least 20 minutes each of four nights.
