This has to be the most exciting year for politics we have had. Did you watch the huge crowd out there in Denver? Wow! What a spectacular show.
The Democrats seem to be very happy with the choice for president and vice president.
Now we will see what the Republicans will do. Choosing the governor of Alaska as their vice president was quite a surprise. I wonder if the media will play fair with their treatment of her. The next few months are going to be a real challenge for all of us.
I’m sure the TV people will keep us watching the news concerning the upcoming election. I hope we make a right choice as the results will determine our beloved country’s future place in the world.
I hate to see Donna retire from the paper. I’m sure it was a tough job to step into Bill Meyer’s shoes and she did fine.

The celebration of Labor Day means it’s the end of summer. It’s time to put your white hat and white shoes away for the winter. At least that’s what they used to tell me. I really think it’s time to play football. Are we ready for that?
