Marion City Council members made no mention during Monday’s meeting of a special prosecutor’s report that Gideon Cody, would be charged with a felony.
They did discuss whether to close portions of streets in the downtown for a merchants’ “Falloween” event Oct. 19.
They approved a contract with Marion County to sell a lot behind the planning and zoning, emergency management, and road and bridge department building. It will be for parking.
Council members approved repairs at the Marion Historical Museum. Administrator Mark McAnarney said a portion of the museum floor was beginning to shift. The museum thinks it can pay for needed repairs.
