Republicans plan candidate forum

Republican candidates in the Aug. 6 primary will speak and answer questions at 3 p.m. July 14 at the county lake hall.

Those whose names will be on the primary ballot have been invited.

The following have said they will be there:

For U.S. Representative District 2 — Jeff Kahrs, Michael Ogle, Derek Schmidt, Shawn Tiffany, and Chad Young.

For register of deeds — Hannah Branson and Shelby Schroeder.

For sheriff — Jeff Soyez and Travis Wilson.

For county commissioner — Mike Beneke, Randy Dallke, Clarke Dirks, and Dianne Novak.

Candidates running unopposed will be introduced. They include:

• Mike Fagg, Kansas Senate District 14.
• Scott Hill, Kansas House of Representatives District 70.
• Mike King, Kansas House of Representatives District 74.
• Ashley Herpich, county clerk.
• Tina Groening, county treasurer.
