Reservoir algae advisory lifted
Marion Reservoir, which had been under various watches and warnings for blue-green algae most of the summer, received an all-clear Friday from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
Four other Kansas lakes remain under blue-green algae warnings — Harvey County East Lake, Lake Afton in Sedgwick County, Lovewell Reservoir in Jewell County, and Overland Park South Lake in Johnson County.
Lakes facing less-serious algae advisories include Augusta Santa Fe Lake in Butler County, Lenexa Hidden Woods Park Pond in Johnson County, Melvern Outlet River Pond in Osage County, Bonner Springs North Park Lake in Wyandotte County, and Strowbridge Reservoir's Carbondale East Lake in Osage County.
