REUNIONS: Class of 1953

Marion High School class of 1953 celebrated its 55th class reunion Old Settlers’ Day weekend.

Class members and guests gathered at the home of Harry and Theodora Koslowsky for coffee and rolls. Members then decorated a trailer which they rode in the parade. Transportation was provided by Ron Herbel and Jim Richmond.

At noon, the class ate lunch together at Central Park before taking its turn, walking across the stage during class introductions.

A meal was served at Country Dreams Bed & Breakfast with a program afterward. Michael Broadhead, senior class president, presided over the dinner. Anita Sly who was assisted by Diana Warner, Betty Seibel, Ron Hiebert, and Theodora Koslowsky, then presided at the program.

A memorial was presented in memory of those classmates who had died. Communications were read from class members who were not able to attend.

Plans are in the works for a future reunion sooner than five years.
