Richard Ollek

Services for Hillsboro native Richard Dean Ollek, 78, who died Sunday at Diversicare of Sedgwick, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Ascension Lutheran Church, Wichita.

Relatives will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the church.

Born Nov. 18, 1943, in Hillsboro to Richard Edward and Rosy (Weinbrener) Ollek, he married Barbara Birkle on Nov. 24, 1962, at Zion Lutheran Church, Hillsboro.

Survivors include his wife, of Wichita, along with sons Richard and Ronald Ollek of Wichita, daughter Robyn Gruenwald of Bel Aire, sister Peggy Roberts of Topeka, nine grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with Ollek Foundation in care of Jost Funeral Home, Hillsboro.
