Robert “Bob” Cordts, 82, of Hillsboro died March 28, 2012, at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro.

He was born March 21, 1930, in Chicago, Ill., to William and Thelma (Weaver) Cordts. He was a bookkeeper.

He married Linda Fast on Aug. 8, 1951, in Inman. She preceded him in death in 1989.

He is survived by one son, Stanley Ray Cordts of Grand Rapids, Mich.; three daughters, Crystal Joy Hall of South Bend, Ind., Patti Janel Martin of Hoschton, Ga., and Cheryl Diane McCorry of Bella Vista, Ark.; two sisters, Leona Friesen of Hillsboro and Clara King of Mesa, Ariz.; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Services were Saturday at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church, Hillsboro, with Pastor Roy Keller officiating. Burial was in Gnadenau Cemetery before the service.

Visitation was Friday at Jost Funeral Home, Hillsboro.
