Robert “Bob” Stewart Freeland, 93, died Oct. 11, at his residence in Whittier, Calif.
Born Nov. 17, 1915, in Guthrie, Okla., he was the oldest son of Robert Haddon and Ethel May (Stewart) Freeland.
The family moved to Burns in 1932, where they owned two farms.
He married Hazel Pauline Mounts on Sept. 30, 1938, in Los Angeles. She died Feb. 3, 1989. On Oct. 29, 1989, he married June (McNamee) Rogers. She died May 31, 2001. He married Iris Osley on Dec. 1, 2001. She survives.
His parents; his first two wives, Hazel and June; and a brother, Edgar, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Iris; three sons, Robert Jr. of Burley, Idaho and Peter of North Ogden, Utah; a stepson, Fred Nandy; a brother, Stanley of Chino Hills, Calif.; three grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Burial was Oct. 15 in Green Hills Cemetery in San Pedro, Calif.
