Rodney Maxwell

Rodney Lee Maxwell, 54, Cedar Point, died Dec. 3, in Newton, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Emporia, he graduated in 1974 from Northern Heights High School. He was a farmer rancher, and retired rural postal carrier.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca; son Ryan of Emporia; daughter Sherri of Tulsa; his parents, Don and Shirley Maxwell of Alma; brother Terry of Evans, Colo.; sister, Joyce Eckleberry of Alma; stepdaughters Liza Jeffers of Cedar Point; stepson Patrick Morgan of Wichita; and three grandchildren.

Services were Tuesday morning at Hills Community Church in Cottonwood Falls and in the afternoon at Admire Methodist Church in Admire.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been designated to the Traumatic Brain Injury Support Group of Manhattan, Flint Hills Community Church, and the American Diabetes Association for Diabetic Children’s Camp in care of Baker Funeral Home, PO Box 242, Valley Center KS 67147.
