Ronald J. Mille Sr., 63, of Lincolnville died Saturday at Salina Regional Hospital. He was born Sept. 18, 1948, at McKeesport, Pa., to Louis G.G. and Mary (Gereben) Mille.

He retired from the U.S. Army as a sergeant first class in 1988 at Fort Riley. He worked for Centre schools for 21 years and retired in 2011.

He married Mary A. Chiaverinia on Jan. 24, 1970, in McKeesport. She survives.

He also is survived by a son, Carmen Mille of Wichita; three daughters, Melissa Arndt, Sandra Scheele, and Elizabeth D’Albini, all of Hillsboro; a brother, Kevin Mille of McKeesport; a sister, Marian Morgan of Nashville, Tenn.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Mille Jr.; and by his parents.

Graveside services with military honors will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Fort Riley (Main Post) Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established with the Centre High School Scholarship Fund.
