Former cook Rose M. (Spangler) Grosse, 81, died Oct. 21 at Kansas Christian Home in Newton.

She was born May 12, 1933, to Joe and Vevia (Brock) Spangler in Elbing.

She was preceded by her parents, and by her husband, Harvey Grosse, in 1991.

Survivors include: sons, Harvey L. Grosse of Peabody, Robert D. Grosse of Andover, and Ray C. Grosse; a daughter, Peggy Penner of Newton; a brother, Steve (Betty) Ford of Peabody; a sister, Fern (Milford) Stovall of Newton; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Services were Friday at Kansas Christian Home, Newton, Denny Bell officiating.
