Ruth Aubuchon

Ruth Louise Aubuchon, 80, Eureka, died Aug. 1, 2008.

Born June 10, 1928, at rural Burns, she was the daughter of William and Adelia (Ireland) Larsen.

She was a graduate of Burns High School and attended Emporia State Teacher’s College. She began her teaching career at a country school at Youngtown. She continued teaching at Burns, Cimarron, and St. Francis.

On Aug. 21, 1954, she married Julian Aubuchon Jr., at Burns. They moved to Eureka in 1956.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Julian.

Survivors include three brothers, Milton Larsen of Wichita, Clyde Larsen of Garnett, and Lowell Larsen of Burns; and sister, Florence Biehl of Lenexa.

A memorial service will be conducted Friday at Koup Family Funeral Home, Eureka.

Memorial funds have been established with the First United Methodist Church of Eureka or the Ruth Aubuchon Memorial Scholarship Fund, ESU Foundation, 1500 Highland St., Emporia.
