Ruth J. Weigel, 87, mother of Lincolnville resident Terry Klenda, died Monday at the Golden Age Care Home in Cheney.

The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Jude Catholic Church, Wichita. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Wichita.

She was born Feb. 2, 1928, at Ordway, Colorado, to Florian and Catherine Rohlman Feik.

She married Pete J. Weigel in 1949 and was a homemaker and farm wife.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, and six sisters.

Other survivors include a son, Richard Weigel of Belle Plaine; a daughter, Agnes “Aggie” Weigel of Cheney; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
