Ruth Wright

Over the years she assisted her husband in his business ventures and worked as a nurse’s aide and later as a cook at the nursing home and finally for the Peabody-Burns school district for 17 years.

In 2011 she knitted nearly 100 stocking hats that were donated to various cancer organizations in Kansas and Idaho. She also loved playing cards and word games. Even more, she loved when two of her great-great-grandchildren came to visit on their grandma’s day off. Ruth also loved to travel, whether to Europe to visit her daughter and family or just to the old neighborhood where she grew up.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil; her parents, Madeline and Guy Parsons; two grandchildren, Drew and Annette; a sister, Mary; and a brother, Guy.

She is survived by her son, Guy, and his wife, Janis, of Marion, Kan.; her daughter, Cecilia, and her husband, Dennis, of Mountain Home, Idaho; seven grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind two sisters and their spouses, a sister-in-law, a brother-in-law, many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and –nephews, and great-great-nieces and –nephews.
