Marion City Library’s book and plant sales last month kicked off fundraising efforts for the library’s new addition.
While project plans haven’t been finalized, librarian Janet Marler said the $1,500 raised will help kick start the project.
Marler said the total project is expected to cost between $10,000 and $15,000.
The next fundraiser will be the annual garden tour on June 29. All proceeds from this event will go toward the library addition, Marler said.
